So as you can see from yesterday, having a dog is blast!!! I've started reading this book Marley and Me which is twice as entertaining since i can identify with about 90% of the stories John (the author) tells in this book.

My parent old dog (actually my first puppy that i pawned off on them after leaving for college) was also quite a bit like Marley. I've only read about 1/8 of the book, but Marley reminds me a lot of Cody.

Marley FREAKED out the first time they left him alone in a storm and completely tore apart their garage where they kept him

Cody was the same way, a complete ninny when it came to storms. It got so bad that at one point my folks had to give him puppy Valium to chill him out. For some reason he liked to chew on things when he got nervous. Mom once wrote us all an e-mail that he clawed through the fence and escaped one afternoon when he was left outside. Needless to say there was a storm in the vicinity.

Lucky for us now, Riley (below) loves storms and will sit on the edge of the bed to watch them in sheer enjoyment. Oddly enough as brave as she is, she HATES the vacuum cleaner and dart for safety as soon as its brought out of the closet.

Circus Dog!!!

So I'm working from home today and I'm at my desk plowing through the days work. I hear from downstairs the dog horsing around with something as there was a lot of clawing and stepping around. So after about 5 mins. i go downstairs to find that Riley had successfully stuffed three balls into her mouth all by herself. She's done this before, but i haven't seen this in over a year. Made my day!
